Construction
The new design takes a small cylindrical core at the center of the end face as the core, with the polarities of the fan-shaped magnets distributed around it all pointing towards the center, greatly enhancing the field strength at the center of the plane. Meanwhile, the outer shell is made of carbon steel, a magnetic conductive material, and is locked to one end of the upper joint by a stainless steel base plate, preventing the magnetic field from being released outside. The residual magnetic field that would otherwise disperse to the surroundings is channeled back to the end face, making more efficient use of the magnetic force. After the magnetic circuit is optimized, the strength can reach 10,000 to 18,000 Gauss, and maximize pulling force.
Used during oil and gas well, the fishing magnet directly aims at the fish, to bring tool fragments, hard-alloy submagnetic drilling bit teeth and other ferromagnetic particles and objects to rig floor.
