Anti-roll Back Magnet

Anti-roll Back Magnet

Anti-roll Back Magnet is a replacement part for an anti-roll back (ARB) assembly on a rollercoaster. ARB systems are used on roller coasters to engage a mechanical catch dog in the unlikely event of a lift chain break and act as a secondary safety device stopping backwards movement of the ride vehicle. The Anti-roll Back Magnet is automatically tested each time the ride vehicle goes through the station and gets a Go or No go from the system.

Key Features and Benefits

1. Extremely powerful magnetic design: Well-designed neodymium Halbach array

It is a planar Halbach Array, configuration appears a rectangular arrangement where neodymium magnets are laid out in rows with alternating orientations to manipulate magnetic flux for maximum efficiency. As a result, one face of the assembly presents a very strong magnetic field and the opposite face presents a very weak magnetic field. Through the production, it can creat an additional field 30% - 80% without increasing the magnet weight.

2. A reasonable thick plate stick together with magnets, which gives a reversed magnetic field conduction.

3. SUS316 stainless steel casing protecting magnets from bumping and corrosion to provide long service life.

4. High-intensity magnets up to +8,000 gauss.

5. Withstands working temperatures of up to 150°C (302°F).
